Janice De Belen on Kaila Estrada, Daniel Padilla's relationship: 'I am just happy that Kaila is happy'

Janice de Belen is a supportive mom when it comes to her children's relationships, including Kaila Estrada’s relationship with actor Daniel Padilla.

During her guest appearance on the Friday episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the veteran actress shared her thoughts on her daughter’s love life.

“I am just happy that Kaila is happy. ‘Yun lang. Para sa isang parent, ang gusto mo lang ay maging masaya sila,” Janice said.

“When you see that your child is happy, anong karapatan mong mangialam at gumitna doon sa happy? Basta happy ka, ‘yun lang ang gusto ko,” she added.

Janice refuses to impose on her children, she said, "because naging rebelde din ako in a way."

"I always asked my parents to trust me. So nag-ri-ring yun sa ulo ko every time naiinis ako or parang, 'Tama ba to?'" She added.

But, she says, "I have to trust my children na kaya nila, kaya nila paninindigan."

Kaila and Daniel have been rumored to be in a relationship after being spotted together since last year.

Previously, Kaila posted photos from Daniel's recent birthday party with a blurry snapshot of the two of them.

In the photo, Kaila and Daniel could be seen leaning into each other, with the actor's hand on the small of Kaila's back. They were both smiling.

Daniel, who just turned 31, was previously in a relationship with Kathryn Bernardo. They confirmed their breakup in November 2023, 11 years after being together. — LA, GMA News
