Jodi Sta. Maria to be bridesmaid at Iwa Moto, Pampi Lacson wedding

Iwa Moto revealed that Jodi Sta. Maria will be a bridesmaid at her wedding to Pampi Lacson.

On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Monday, the former actress opened up about their special friendship.

Iwa recalled that they "weren't really OK" when she started her relationship with Pampi, Jodi's ex-husband. They did not know each other well yet.

"Nung dumating ako sa buhay ni Pampi, wala na talaga sila," Iwa said. "Nung dumating ako, kaya din siguro hindi naging mahirap 'yung transition namin to become friends, maybe because I'm not the reason why they broke up."

Iwa added that they grew closer because they both love Jodi and Pampi's son, Thirdy.

"'Pag nagmahal ako, sobra. Pati 'yung anak, minamahal ko na parang totoo kong anak," Iwa said. "So 'yung nakikita ko na nahihirapan 'yung bata dahil 'yung magulang niya, kami, 'yung tumatayong nagbabantay sa kanya ay 'di nagkakasundo, siya 'yung naapektuhan."

Iwa said she and Jodi slowly formed "this wonderful friendship," and Iwa considers the actress as one of her best friends.

"Bridesmaid ko po siya," Iwa revealed.

Iwa also said that Jodi would joke, "Ready na ang gown ko."

"Sabi ko, 'wag ka mag-alala, you'll be the one to first know. So nung nangyari nga na nag-propose si Pampi, isa po siya sa mga nakaalam," Iwa said.

"She's so happy. Siya naman po, sabi niya, matagal na niyang inaantay 'to," she added.

Iwa added that she goes to Jodi whenever she needs someone to talk to. Jodi has a certificate Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) training.

Jodi and Pampi got married in 2005 and separated in 2011. Their son, Thirdy, was born in 2005.

Meanwhile, Iwa has been in a relationship with Pampi for 14 years. They have two children together: Hiromi and Caleb.

Iwa and Jodi often share photos of their blended family on Instagram and comment on each other's posts.

When Jodi and Pampi's marriage was annulled in 2024, Iwa showed her support for Jodi. —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
