Matet de Leon is fed up with the 'mana' issue hounding them since Nora Aunor's death: 'Nakaka suka na'
Matet de Leon is fed up with the "mana" issue that's been hounding her and her siblings after their mom Nora Aunor died.
On TikTok over the weekend, Matet posted a video of herself lip-syncing to Yano's song "Banal na Aso, Santong Kabayo" and engaged with netizens who left comments about the issue.
"Kami ba ang gag—? O ang mga tao? Nananahimik kami. Mana ng mana. Nakakasuka naaaaa!" Matet began her strongly worded reply to a netizen who said, "Sakin lang naman, tama na, sana maresolve privately."
"Wala kami ire-resolve. Ayoko mag-resolve. Manahimik na lang mga kupal na nagco-comment na akala eh alam lahat. OK na yun. Wala akong pakialam kay Ian," Matet continued.
When another netizen said "baka kaya ndi binigyan," the celebrity replied "oo nga."
To a netizen who pointed out it was the media and social media that's making things worse by asking questions instead of allowing the siblings to keep things private, Matet sarcastically said "walang privacy privacy!"
"Dapat naka labas lahat! Lahat," she added as she used three laughing emojis.
Matet's TikTok video and comments came as her other siblings, Lotlot and Ian de Leon traded barbs.
On Friday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Ian acknowledged the misunderstandings they were going through and expressed "it's only a matter of time."
"I don't want to force anything until it's the right time for things to be solved," he said.
In his guesting, Ian explained the one-person corporation he established to protect the legacy of their mom and said he wanted to involve his siblings.
Ian is the only biological son of Nora and actor Christopher de Leon.
Shortly after his TV appearance, his adopted sister Lotlot appeared at a press conference and made mention Ian's TV appearance as she said "wala akong hinahabol na mana."
In May, Matet herself appeared on "Fast Talk" and denied they were feuding with Ian and called what they were going through a misunderstanding."
Nora died on April 16, 2025 at the age of 71. According to Ian, her cause of death was Acute Respiratory Failure.
Dubbed the Superstar, Nora was named a National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022. She was known for her iconic roles in the films "Himala," "Bona," and "Minsa'y Isang Gamu-gamo."
She married Christopher de Leon in 1975, but they later separated and their marriage was annulled in 1996. They have five children: Ian, Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth.
