Rikki Mae Davao remembers late dad Ricky: 'I just miss you extra tonight'

Rikki Mae Davao is learning the difficult truth that grief knows no timeline.

A little over a year since her father Ricky Davao passed, Rikkie wrote a heartfelt social media post, sharing how much she misses his guidance, humor, and even the little moments they used to share.

On Instagram, Rikki shared a photo of them together, opening up about the things she misses most about her dad.

“I miss you, dad. I miss your laugh, your weird expressions. I miss our fights. I wonder what projects you would have been working on,” Rikki wrote.

In her post, Rikki also recalled how she would call her dad while taping to ask for guidance and fondly remembered helping him reset his Netflix password.

“I miss calling you when I'm taping and asking for your advice. I miss seeing your name pop up on my phone and getting your texts to fix your Netflix password for the 3rd time,” she said.

“I look for you wherever I go, especially when I work. I feel closer to you when I'm working. There's always someone whose worked with you. I just miss you extra tonight,” Rikki continued.

Among those who responded to the post was Jackie Lou Blanco, Ricky's former wife and Rikki's mother, who commented, "Aww Meimei...."

Ricky passed away in May 2025, after facing complications from cancer. He was 63 years old.

He and Jackie Lou married in 1989 but separated later on. Their three children are Kenneth, Rikki Mae, and Ara.
