Bea Alonzo says she wanted wedding to Vincent Co to be 'about us, no one else'
Bea Alonzo has opened up about her decision to keep her wedding with Vincent Co intimate and away from the public eye, saying she simply wanted the special moment to belong to the two of them.
Speaking with Nelson Canlas at the sidelines of a brand event, the Kapuso star said their wedding was not intentionally planned as a “surprise” but was something that felt right for them at the time.
"It wasn’t that I was keeping it from everyone, but at that point, I felt like I just wanted it to be mine and his. I wanted it to be about us and no one else," she said.
Bea clarified that there was no deliberate effort to make the wedding a surprise.
“It wasn’t supposed to be a surprise, and there wasn’t really any announcement. It wasn’t supposed to be like that. It just felt like it was the right thing to do."
For Bea, keeping the moment private made the occasion even more meaningful.
“And, you know ... the moment was ours,” she added.
The actress also shared how married life has changed her day-to-day routine, particularly now that she and Vincent are living together.
“My address is different now. Of course, we’ve moved in together, obviously," she said.
“Right now, I’m on cloud nine. I’m very, very happy. Of course, I’m at my happiest," she added. "We wake up right next to each other every day. And it’s special to me."
This was Bea's first public appearance as Mrs. Co.
Bea and Vincent got married in a civil wedding in July.
Their wedding was officiated by Makati Mayor Nancy Binay and was followed by an intimate reception at Txoko Asador, where the newlyweds enjoyed a minimalist wedding cake.
Bea confirmed her relationship with Vincent in 2025.
In March 2026, a parish in Manila published their wedding banns.
