Sue Ramirez pens touching farewell to mom Chit Dodd after burial
Sue Ramirez took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to her mother, Chit Dodd, as she was laid to rest.
On Instagram, the actress said no amount of time would be long enough to describe how much she will always love her mother.
"If there is something longer than a lifetime, that's how long I will love you, Mi," she wrote in Filipino.
According to Sue, the grief she is feeling is so immense and all-encompassing, she believes it will never leave her heart.
“I don’t know what to do, Mi. We don’t know how to live in a world without you,” she said.
Sue expressed her gratitude for having Chit as her mother, calling it the thing she is most thankful for in life.
“Thank you for everything, Mi,” she said. “For the life you gave, for all your understanding and patience, for the affection and laughter, and for your love that no one could ever match.”
Sue promised that their family would continue to keep their mother’s memory alive and speak proudly about her.
“We will never stop talking about you and proudly telling everyone that we are Chit’s children,” she said.
“I will miss you so much, Mi. I love you so, so much. Until we meet again, Mi,” she added.
Chit passed away on August 17.
In January, Sue called for blood donations for her mother who was about to undergo open-heart surgery, according to a GMA Entertainment report. Chit also contracted pneumonia before her surgery.
A week later, Sue said her mother's procedure was done and she was in recovery, and continued to ask for prayers for her.
