Toyo Eatery's Chef Jordy Navarra serves pork sisig, kinilaw at PH fair in Japan

Chef Jordy Navarra, the owner of one-Michelin-starred Toyo Eatery, was tapped to serve Filipino dishes at The Philippine Fair in Tokyo, Japan.

According to Wednesday’s episode of “Unang Hirit,” the event was held in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Philippine-Japan relations.

Among the dishes Jordy served were elevated pork sisig and kinilaw, featuring a special ingredient proudly sourced from the Philippines: asin tibuok from Bohol.

In February, Jordy was selected as guest chef for Qatar Airways’ in-flight dining program.

In October 2025, he was also recognized at The Best Chef Awards 2025, where he retained his Two Knives (World Class) distinction. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
