Michelin Guide 2027: Helm by Chef Josh Boutwood still has the highest Michelin star rating in PH with Two Stars
Helm by Chef Josh Boutwood did it again, receiving the highest Michelin star rating on Thursday night, with Two Michelin Stars.
Held Thursday night at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Newport World Resorts, the Michelin Guide Ceremony: Manila and Environs & Cebu 2027 saw Helm emerge as the only establishment to receive two Michelin Stars in the guide's 2027 edition.
During his speech, Boutwood pointed to "the culture that we have in the restaurant" as the way forward.
"Everyone knows their responsibilities. Everyone has the passion. Everyone knows what we want to put onto the table and sharing this collective culture and sharing it to the world that comes and dines with us is probably the answer that has helped us keep us consistent," he said.
When asked about the ascent of the Philippine culinary Industry, Boutwood expressed his belief that "nothing can stop us as a culture and as a country and as an industry."
"You can see the camaraderie in this room. If we all continue working together to improve our industry, we will get to amazing heights. And I have no doubt."
Nine restaurants in the Philippines were awarded One Michelin Star each, with Restaurant Flow at the Green Sun Hotel on Chino Roces Extension in Makati, becoming the lone newcomer of the lot.
