Cebu’s Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee The Pig & Palm to open in Manila

The Pig & Palm, a Michelin Bib Awardee from Cebu, is expanding to Metro Manila!

Just days after retaining its Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction, The Pig & Palm announced its plans to open its first Metro Manila branch at Greenbelt 2 in Makati City.

“We can’t wait to share what we have planned with you all!” the brand announced.

As of writing, the opening date has yet to be revealed.

According to the Michelin Guide, The Pig & Palm's confit pork belly is a must-try.

The dish is among the restaurant's signatures, with its menu largely centered on pork. Other popular dishes include the prosciutto and manchego croquettes and the grilled Kurobuta pork chop.

The Pig & Palm is run by Jason Atherton, a British chef whose restaurants in the UK, City Social and Row on 5 have been awarded Michelin Stars. He is married to a Cebuana, Irha Bacerra.

It is among the 31 Michelin Bib Gourmand Awardees for 2027, which recognizes establishments offering good-quality food at reasonable prices.

Meanwhile, 10 restaurants in the Philippines earned Michelin Stars for 2027, with Helm retaining its Two Michelin Stars and Flow joining the ranks of establishments awarded One Michelin Star.
