WATCH: Albayanos take part in sili-eating contest

This is one hot contest.

Albay residents recently took part in a sili-eating contest to showcase one of the province's biggest products.

It was one of the highlights of the Daragang Magayon festival, GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon" reported Tuesday.



But the bowl of Bicol Express containing the sili proved too much for some of the participants.

Many shed tears due to the spiciness of the dish and could not finish eating.

Those who did, however, were crowned the Sili King and Queen.

Some foreigners even took part in the contest, the report said. — Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
