Obama tries out Vietnam resto for Bourdain show

U.S. President Barack Obama stopped by the famous Bun Cha Huong Lien in Hanoi, Vietnam for dinner with chef and tv host Anthony Bourdain on Monday.

Crowds gathered outside Bun Cha Huong Lien to take pictures and get a glimpse of the U.S. president. Obama shook hands with onlookers as he departed the restaurant known for its bun cha, a dish of grilled pork and noodles.

It is Obama's first visit to Hanoi, which his welcoming hosts described as the arrival of a warm spring and a new chapter in relations between two countries that were at war four decades ago.

He is the third U.S. president to visit Vietnam since diplomatic relations were restored in 1995, and has made a strategic 'rebalance' towards Asia a centerpiece of his foreign policy. --Reuters
