Customize your own ramen for only P250 in this Japanese food joint on Mabini Street

From street kiosks to high-end imports, ramen joints have definitely become a staple in the Manila food scene. But a hole in the wall in the city of Manila serving authentic and affordable  bowls of ramen have caught our eye — and our tummies.

On Mabini Street in Malate, a newly-opened Japanese restaurant allows its guests to customize ramen for only P250. You want it spicier? Richer? Without the Ajitsuke Tamago? My Own Ramen will allow for everything.

"We are different from other ramen joints, kasi we are trying our best to serve authentic Japanese standard 16-hour boiled broth, in-house everything from the soup base to the noodles even the spicy red sauce are made from scratch. Some say it’s the closest thing you can get to actually falling in line in Hakata Fukuoka on a winter morning," co-owner and chef of My Own Ramen Mikee Yu told GMA News Online.

The Tonkotsu Ramen is the star dish at My Own Ramen, which is customizable for as low as P250. If you're rather not think and trust the chef wholeheartedly, get the "Chef Recommended" option for P300.

True to championing options, My Own Ramen also have delicious rice bowls like the Beef Gyudon, Beef Sukiyaki Gyudon, Pork Sukiyaki Don, Pork Gyudon, Sio Saba Don (Mackarel), as well as a slew of side dishes like Gyoza dumplings (4 pieces for P85) and Wagyu cubes for P100.

My Own Ramen is located at  1751 A. Mabini St. Malate Manila. 11am-11pm
