Cooking for two and not loving it? This online shop to the rescue!

Cooking for two persons might be one of the hardest things about being newly married — a hassle that married couple and professional chefs Jen and Jeremy Slagle know too well. 

When they found themselves trying to find the balance between their demanding work in the kitchen and home life (with their two lovely children), the culinary couple realized it’s not just them going through the same struggle.

So in 2016, they put up Mister Delicious, an online shop offering “slow cooked, real foods accessible to busy people.” Here, they put together their expertise as classically trained French chefs and their love for a proper home-cooked meal.

Mister Delicious has two types of food on offer: Cured and Smoked meats (P375-750) and Everyday Foods (P180-360), frozen food packs good for two persons.

Order from the website and once delivered, dunk a pack in a pot of boiling water and in 10 minutes, a delicious satisfying meal for two awaits. 

Now, don’t be put off by the frozen food aspect. These are dishes developed by Jen and Jeremy professional chefs who've worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in France, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. They also worked as chef consultants for several restaurants in Manila.

Each pack of food is prepared in their FDA-certified facility and blast-frozen to “preserve [it] at the peak of freshness” to ensure great quality. You can even keep it in your freezer for as long as six months.

Place your orders before 4pm, and you get them in three hours max. Place your orders after 4pm and you get them the next day. "Right now we're on a Monday-Friday schedule, but in about two weeks we will do a 7-day operation," Jeremy says.
