Beyond the beer: Los Indios Bravos makes a case for enjoying delicious pub food at the beach
Los Indios Bravos in Boracay made a name for itself, thanks to the craft beer it serves. In Boracay's laidback Bulabog Beach, the gastropub slowly gained traction. And then came the closure and with it, a makeover of sorts for the entire island — Los Indios Bravos included.
From Bulabog, it relocated to Station 1, in the beach front of old favorite White House with former actor Martin Jickain and wife Maggie Tirol overseeing the pub’s operations. But that’s pretty much all there is to the change.

“We [kept the original crew because we] wanted to make sure that the taste and the quality of the food is maintained in the new location,” Martin told GMA News Online. “Kasi napansin namin in a lot of restaurants, when a new management or new chef comes in, nagbabago yung quality ng food. We don’t want that to happen.”
In its new location, the original recipes of founder, Chef Norbert Gandler, are still being used, complemented only by executive chef Mike Catindig’s new offerings. Don't worry — the eight great locally crafted beers on tap are still very much part of the agenda.
