This milk tea shop in Maginhawa serves alcohol-infused milk tea

Milk tea is well-loved among Pinoys — but so is gin.

And so Jaedon Joaquin and his business partners decided to open...Tipsy Tea. As its name suggests, it offers an alcoholic twist to the sweet drink.

"This is the signature milk tea of our shop. Ang base niya ay black tea, tapos hahaluan ng tatlong liquor na yun," Jaedon said.

Not to worry: the drink won't actually make anyone drunk.

Joaquin said that they only put enough for customers to taste the hint of alcohol, and "feel the kick."

"Mati-tipsy ka lang talaga," he clarified.

Customers in the shop said that the alcohol in the milk tea is "not overpowering" and that it only takes like milk tea at first.

It's perfect for those looking for something sweet with kick — or tired taxpaying office workers looking for an after-hours treat, minus the hangover.

This product is strictly for those who are 18 years old and above, Joaquin said.
