Milk tea brand introduces new flavor at its three-day ‘chill camp’

Because CoCo Milk Tea is enjoying its 5th anniversary in the Philippines, the People’s Choice Awardee for Favorite Milk Tea brand decided to hold a three-day camp at the SM Mega Fashion Hall in SM Megamall as a way to give back and say thank you to his Philippine customers.

Ongoing until September 19 — Thursday! Tomorrow! — the Chill Camp features various milk tea-related activities including a panda pit, pachinko games, and a pearl toss.

There are limited edition prizes, exclusive merchandise, but best perhaps is the introduction of a new flavor.

The Caramel Chocolate Cream features caramel swirls punctuating the mix of chocolate slush and velvety salty cream.

It is exclusive to the Philippine market, where entrepreneur Larry Evans Tan says, CoCo sells one cup every four minutes on delivery alone.

Globally, CoCo leads the market selling 100 cups per second worldwide across its with 4,000 branches located the world over. CoCo is originally from Taiwan.

“It’s not the usual milk tea that Filipinos are familiar with. They have more premium milk tea using better ingredients and what really caught our attention were the fruit teas wherein they use real, fresh fruits.”

CoCo will be opening its second branch in Cebu by the end of September and will soon head out to Mindanao. — LA, GMA News
