McDonald's suspends selling Cook-It-Yourself food packs, to return on April 19
McDonald's Philippines put a halt on selling their Cook-It-Yourself food packs, one day after it was made available.
In a Facebook post Thursday morning, the fast food giant said it will be restocking inventories and resume selling the frozen goods on Sunday, April 19.
"Until then, we ask for your patience given the challenges of the delivery logistics during the Enhanced Community Quarantine. Rest assured that we will continue to provide everyone with quality food and service at the soonest possible time," the statement read.
It seems like everybody is missing their usual. Last week, Starbucks Philippines had a similar experience, pausing their drive-thru and take-out feature one day after it announced reopening some stores for drive-thru.
The temporary suspension of their operations came after videos of cars flocking to their stores' drive thru were posted by netizens on social media.
President Rodrigo Duterte announced the enhanced community quarantine on March 17 to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Perhaps it's best not to go out of our houses, folks. We are still on quarantine. In the meantime, here are restaurants at that open for delivery. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
