You may now have groceries delivered to your doorstep via Grab
Grab Philippines has launched a new on-demand grocery service that allows users in select areas to purchase daily necessities and dry goods from partner grocery stores.
According to a press statement on Monday, the service called GrabMart is currently operating in select areas in Quezon City, Pasig, Manila, Mandaluyong, Makati, San Juan Valenzuela, Paranaque, and Taguig.
It plans to expand in other locations in Metro Manila soon.
Grab users can purchase grocery items, personal care products, and soon, even medicines, from specialty stores and retail partners including Robinsons Supermarket; Great Deals; Ecommerce Corporation; FamilyMart; Starbucks at Home; ASSI Fresh Plaza; Fetch Naturals; Dog City and Barcino.
With the limitations and restrictions due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation, Grab says GrabMart is “a solution that will make acquiring of basic necessities easier despite the enhanced community quarantine."
How do I order?
To order from GrabMart, Grab says users within the serviceable areas just need to click on the “Mart” tile in the Grab app.
Users will then be allowed to select orders from their desired merchants.
Payment
Like GrabFood and GrabExpress, cash payment is still available, but users are encouraged to pay via GrabPay and practice “contactless delivery” for safer payments and transactions.
Grab says the delivery fee during the beta period ranges from P89 to P149 based on distance to the store, with a minimal service fee of P30 applicable for all orders. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
