Tired of the usual dishes? Here's how to make corned beef sinigang!
Almost every Filipino has a special place in their heart for sinigang.
However, if you’re tired of cooking the usual bangus or pork variation of the signature Filipino dish, then corned beef sinigang may just be up your alley!
During the live online cooking show "ECQusina" Friday, actress Jelai Andres showed viewers how to prepare corned beef sinigang.
Not only are the ingredients easy to get amid the quarantine, but it’s also quick to cook if you’re feeling hungry already.
After putting five cups of water in a cooking pot, wait until it boils before adding sliced onions and tomatoes, Jelai shared.
"Tantiyahin niyo na lang," the actress said when it comes to the amount of water, since people had different tastes and preferences.
Once the ingredients turn soft, add two cans of corned beef to the soup.
Afterwards, she told viewers to put fish sauce and sinigang powder to add flavor.
For the finishing touch, simply add sliced eggplants, okra and kangkong to the mixture.
"ECQusina" is an online show hosted by Kara David that goes live on Facebook every week where she teaches viewers how to make tasty dishes just with daily grocery items.
With Jelai as guest, the show reached almost up to 25,500 live viewers.
