Dunkin’ teams up with food manufacturer for 2 new cereals
Good news, breakfast people:
It looks like you’ll be able to drink your coffee and eat it, too.
According to its official website, Dunkin’ has collaborated with American cereal manufacturer Post Consumer Brands for two new cereal flavors inspired by its coffee drinks caramel macchiato and mocha latte.
The site says the caramel macchiato flavor features “crunchy cereal pieces and caramel-swirled marshmallows” that create “the deliciously indulgent taste of the layered iced coffee beverage.”
The mocha latte version, meanwhile, is said to have “a hint of chocolate and latte-swirled marshmallows in honor of its namesake espresso.”
Dunkin’ Philippines has yet to announce if the cereal will be available locally, but the Dunkin’ website said the products are “set to roll out nationwide beginning August.”
Cereal or no cereal, customers can still get their coffee, donuts and breakfast items at Dunkin’ branches nationwide.
Dunkin’ Philippines issued a clarification earlier this month saying there were no plans to discontinue operations as opposed to the “fake news” that circulated amid the COVID-19 pandemic. – Margaret Claire Layug/RC, GMA News
