Eat your Manila Bay frustrations with this ‘Dolomite Cake’


Self expression is a piece of cake!

A Cavite-based cake shop just posted a photo of a one-of-a-kind creation featuring the so-called Manila Bay Sands, and netizens couldn't help but relate.

A miniature backhoe is perched on top of an edible beach with dark-colored “sand” peaking out as if it was being washed away by the water.

Several netizens also got a hoot our of the unique cake "dedication" written in icing, which says: “It really hurtz…P389M na ‘yon ghorl???”

According to The Weekend Patisserie, they made the “dolomite sand” out of crushed vanilla cookies, while the “black sand” are crushed Oreos.

When asked what inspired them to make the “Dolomite Cake,” the shop said it was just a way of expressing themselves.

“We’re so happy that people find it hilarious! It was just our way to express our frustrations with what’s happening right now,” the shop told GMA News Online.

The Weekend Patisserie is an online cake and pastry shop based in Dasmarinas, Cavite. Apart from custom-made cakes, they also sell tasty lemon and revel bars.
