This Cebu-based baker wows netizens with his amazing bread portraits
Cebu-based baker Marlo Pimentel Lidot has wowed netizens with beautiful portraits made with...bread.
Marlo has been working at a Cebu hotel for four years. He was supposed to leave the country to work in Maldives but his plans with thwarted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
So just like many Filipinos, Marlo started an online bakery called the Artisan Bread Basket Online Store.
The catch? He makes amazing custom bread portraits. Among those portraits he's created are Kapuso journalists Jessica Soho and Kara David. The baker also made a bread portrait to commemorate late vloggers Lloyd Cadena and Emman Nimedez.
Interested customers can also have their faces designed on the bread.
Marlo said he is grateful to all those who have supported him on his new venture.
"Nagpapasalamat po ako sa mga sumusuporta po, especially sa family ko at mga kaibigan at higit sa lahat sa Panginoon po. Hindi po ako makakagawa ng ganitong mga unique at masasarap na tinapay kung 'di sa skill at talent po na binigay po Niya," ani Marlo.
According to a report on Inquirer, an artisan bread measuring 14 x 10 x 4 inches will set you back P650 per single photo design. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
