Hungry? Here's how you can make crispy breaded pinatisang baboy for lunch

Do you have any spare bits of pork lying around? Then this recipe is perfect for lunch.

Allow us to introduce Chef Jose Sarasola's "Breaded Pinatisang Baboy," a tasty home recipe that only takes  a few ingredients to make.

According to Chef Jose's tutorial on "Unang Hirit," you need to prepare the following:

  • Pork
  • Lemon or calamansi
  • Patis
  • Flour
  • Eggs
  • Ground black pepper
  • Cooking oil

1. Marinade the pork. Chef Jose soaked the pork in a marinade of salt, black pepper, lime (you can use calamansi, too), and patis, from which the dish gets its name. Pinatis — get it?

2. Start breading. To make the fried pork extra crispy, Chef Jose did a double coat of flour then eggs.

3. Fry. According to Chef Jose, you need to make the oil super hot so the breading gets extra crispy, but be careful! Fry the pork well until they turn golden brown.

4. Go crazy on the sauces. To make sure the entire family enjoys your Breaded Pinatisang Baboy, try making a variety of sauces. Apart from a slightly spicy sauce for grown-ups, Chef Jose also made a mild but delicious dip for kids with milk and cheese.

Unlike other pinatisang baboy recipes, Chef Jose took it a notch higher and turned it into a kid-friendly item that will call to mind Japanese tonkatsu or as we like to call it, pork chops.

Yum!
