If there’s a wheel, there’s a way
Mobility has always been a challenge to many Filipinos. Traffic congestion, unreliable metro rail systems and shabby public transport options pose a hurdle to everyday commuters. When the pandemic struck months ago, movement was limited and our dependence on motorized vehicles was more pronounced.
With no public transportation, Filipinos instantly embraced active mobility as an alternative means of traveling. Whether for going to work or getting essential needs, some rediscovered the simplicity yet efficiency of a bicycle. Others turned to motorcycles, scooters or even skateboards to get them from one place to another.
McDonald’s saw this readiness to push forward despite limitations, as something to celebrate. As a testament to their commitment to make feel-good moments easy for everyone, its Drive-Thru is now Ride-Thru – a simple change that speaks volumes to riders of all kinds.
This timely initiative has been welcomed by customers as wheels of all types have been riding thru McDonald’s since the campaign started in July this year. These photos from customeriders express genuine happiness over the fast-food chain’s move towards inclusivity:
McDonald’s assures customers that this shift in the way they serve happiness through their Ride-Thru is not just a temporary arrangement. Four wheels are not a requirement to enjoy a meal on the go. Whatever your ride, you are welcome to create your Ride-Thru moments at McDonald’s.
Visit a McDo Ride-Thru, post your photos with the hashtags #McDoRideThruStories and #McDoRideThru, and tag McDonald’s on social media (Facebook: McDonald’s; IG and Twitter: @mcdo_ph).
Share your inspiring stories so that more people will be encouraged to enjoy a meal while being actively mobile. At McDonald’s, if there’s a wheel, there is truly a way as their Ride-Thru is here to stay.
