Here's how this Taytay restaurant makes its flaming seafood in marinara sauce

We all love a warm meal, but flaming dishes are a different level.

The Duon sa Taytay restaurant in Rizal serves meals that they light up in front of their customers. In an episode of Unang Hirit, cook JV Rebamba demonstrated how he makes one of their dishes: flaming seafood in marinara sauce.

First, JV created a batter by mixing flour, eggs, and cold water. He coated pieces of shrimp in dry flour before coating them in the batter. Then, he deep fried them.

The squid rings were given a similar treatment.

For the crab sticks, JV placed them straight into the bowl of batter before frying them.

He also briefly fried boiled tahong followed by the vegetables.

JV then created the marinara sauce by frying sliced onion, garlic, and tomato in oil. He then poured the tomato sauce and seasoned it with salt and pepper. After adding in some water and mixing it all together, it was done.

The fried seafood was placed on a plate, followed by the vegetables. JV then set the dish alight, before pouring the marinara sauce.

Of course, it's inadvisable for you to experiment with fire at home! If you want to try Duon sa Taytay's flaming dishes, you can visit them at 74 E. Rodriguez Ave., Taytay, Rizal. You can contact them at 09452096206. —JCB, GMA News
