Shakey's launches 31-minute delivery service within Metro Manila

Shakey's Philippines officially launched its 31-minute delivery service within Metro Manila, staying true to their promise, "If it's late, it's free!"

At a press conference, Shakey's President and CEO Vicente Gregorio, General Manager Jorge Concepcion, and Head of Delivery Kellda Centeno shared some details about their newest service.

Centeno said that when they say anywhere in Metro Manila they really mean in all corners of the 16 cities whether your location is in the middle or at the very edge.

The pizza parlor's head of delivery said the 31-minute clock starts when the customer's order is placed and it stops when the rider arrives at the village gate or outside the building or the address itself.

If the order arrives later than 31 minutes after it was placed customers will get it for free.

Centeno discussed in detail that for cash on delivery (COD) orders, customers don't have to pay for late deliveries. Meanwhile for those who paid online, Shakey's will refund the exact amount they paid.

Should the guest refuse the refund, Shakey's will deliver a new order with the exact amount to make up for the late delivery.

The 31-minute delivery service applies to all regular orders except for large orders exceeding over P3,000.

While their top priority is to deliver the orders within 31 minutes, Shakey's is also for the safety of their riders.

Stores are allowed to add delivery time during events that are out of their control. For instance, typhoons and storms, impassable roads due to flooding, ECQ or lockdowns with checkpoints that riders have to line up for, earthquakes, and fires.

If you're wondering who gets charged for the free order? Shakey's said all late deliveries will be charged to the store handling the order, alleviating the burden and pressure on the riders.

Shakey's said this is not a promotion but a service guarantee that will stick with their brand.

The 31-minute delivery service applies to all orders directly placed on Shakey's delivery channels including delivery hotline, their Super App relaunched last month, and their website.

According to Concepcion, the service started with one city over a year ago, expanded to three after a few months and now they are anywhere in Metro Manila. Soon, they are planning to expand to other urban metro areas around the Philippines.

To fulfill this promise, Shakey's recently opened 13 stores totaling to over 130 stores catering to deliver within 31 minutes or less anywhere in Metro Manila.

President and CEO Gregorio said they aim to "wow" customers as they become "better than before, better than others, better than expected."

To experience the 31-minute delivery service, order through Shakey's hotline 7777-7777, or order via their mobile app Super App, or via their website.
