Ride-Thru a magical Christmas

Ride-Thru a magical Christmas

Christmas can be a magical ride for your family especially the kids. If planned nicely, it will be a treat your loved ones will forever remember.

The magic of Christmas differs from person to person. Some get the spirit from watching Christmas movies, singing carols, or reuniting with family and friends. Yet for many, a simple ride to see the spectacles of the holidays is all it takes.

But why stop at one idea when you can go all out without breaking the bank? Here are some tips to make this Christmas the most wonderful time of the year:

Attend the Simbang gabi (pre-dawn mass)
Continue Filipino traditions with your family. Tell kids about the cherished Christmas tradition called simbang gabi or the mass before dawn. Encourage the whole family to go. Ready their face masks and match it with sweaters or cardigans. Don’t forget to practice social distancing.

Create a Yuletide playlist
It has been said that positive memories can be attached to music. Ask everyone in the house their favorite Christmas tunes and create a playlist at home. Mix it with the classics to get them in the mood. Use this as background at home or when going around town.

Ride-thru a Christmas destination
Create new traditions with your family. Go on a ride and marvel at the shimmering spectacles the holiday brings. See the beautifully decorated buildings, the towering outdoor Christmas trees, and stretches of streets illuminated with dazzling lights and holiday decors.

Make the trip worthwhile by driving thru for some take home meals. You won’t regret it because McDonald’s pulled out all the stops to make their own drive thru a Christmas destination that would fascinate even grown-ups.

“We thought of giving our customers a way of experiencing the holidays in a very safe and fun atmosphere and at the comfort and convenience of their own ride,” shared Ashley Santillan, McDonalds Senior Product Manager.

To welcome back its patrons, McDonald’s converted the Drive-Thru of three of its most accessible branches into the newest, must-see Christmas attraction. The experience aims to transport customers to a world of happiness until January 02, 2022.

Its winter wonderland theme will give you the white Christmas feels. See the giant snowflakes, sundae cones, and snowdrops when you ride thru the Icy Wonderland in their McKinley West branch.

“This look and feel breaks the monotony of your regular drive thru,” said a drive thru customer in McKinley West. He brought his children along who were all surprised to see the bedecked Drive-Thru.

People near San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, can enjoy a traditional Filipino Holiday with the festive Parol Holiday Ride Thru at the McDonald’s Savano Park Branch. Those in the South can experience the Toy Factory-themed Ride Thru in Alabang West, Las Piñas.

Order sweets to go
Give your loved ones more reason to say “oh what fun it is to ride” by ordering something sweet. Get the Pinoy-inspired holiday desserts as a sundae, iced coffee and frappe. Choose from Ube Pastillas and Brazo flavors.

After sharing the happiness with your family, you can also share it with people who need it most through McDonald’s Share-A-Meal Program. “We wanted to share with our customers the opportunity to share the happiness of the holidays,” said Symon Siman, McDonald’s Philippines Product Manager.

Beginning December 12, select branches will have share-a-meal cards available for customers, no purchase necessary. Hang half of the card on the store’s Christmas Tree. Fill the other half with details of the charity of your choice and the meals you want them to enjoy on Christmas. Drop the card in drop boxes instore. On Christmas day, two wishes will be granted per store. A total of 18,000 meals will be shared with various charity groups through this give back project.
