Marcos tries out Filipino dishes at a food truck in New York City
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. took a break from his working visit duties in America to enjoy the country's street culture.
In photos shared by the Office of Speaker Martin Romualdez and posted by GMA News' Ivan Mayrina on Twitter, Marcos could be seen snacking from a food truck in New York City.
According to a statement, he tried out Filipino food such as bulalo, pansit, lumpia, and pork barbeque.
He was accompanied by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, Speaker Romualdez, and other members of the Philippine delegation.
Marcos visited the US to speak before the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Marcos met with US President Joe Biden where they discussed the issues on the South China Sea, the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, the continuation of trade partnerships and defense, among others.
On Friday, Marcos also met with some officials of American private companies in New York, including executives of Procter & Gamble, Sutherland Global Services, and at least three companies that can provide modular nuclear power plants in the country. —JCB, GMA News
