Megan Young and Mikael Daez explore a hidden Japanese restaurant in Cavite
Aside from exploring different types of coffee in and out of the Philippines, Megan Young and Mikael Daez also love going on food trips and trying out new concepts and restaurants.
In an installment to their joint vlog’s “Food Trip Na Walang Title” series, Megan and Mikael went to a hidden Japanese restaurant in Cavite to try out what they had in store.
During their visit to Surugin Ramen House, the Kapuso stars ordered Odori Ramen, Tsurai Ramen, Katsu Curry, Chahan, Tenshinhan, Karaage, and Gyoza.
Mikael taught their viewers how to properly eat a bowl of ramen: get noodles through chopsticks and slurp them into your mouth without cutting them.
In Japanese culture, the louder the slurp, the better the ramen. It’s also one way to show appreciation for Japanese food.
“Lagi kong kinakagat 'yung noodles, bawal pala ‘yun,” Megan told Mikael.
After all the food they ate, the two said they recommend the place for those craving authentic Japanese food in Cavite.
In August, Megan visited Mikael while taping for “Running Man PH” in South Korea, where they explored several Korean coffee shops, including Pastel Coffee Works. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
