Zubuchon to close all branches in Metro Manila

Zubuchon will close all its restaurant branches in Metro Manila starting this August, the restaurant announced on Tuesday.

According to its Facebook page, Zubuchon's Southmall branch will be closed starting on August 13, followed by the Centris branch on August 18, The Rise branch on August 25, and the Megamall branch on August 28.

"All our branches in Cebu remain open and we hope to continue expanding there," Zubuchon wrote in a statement.

"Drop by one of our branches soon to grab that last Zubuchon meal in Manila. Or we'll see you in Cebu sometime soon! Thank you for your patronage over the years!"

Zubuchon said its closure in Metro Manila was due to multiple reasons, including COVID-19, the ASF/Swine Flu pandemic, high commodity prices, and other issues.

Zubuchon is a famous restaurant known for its various lechon offerings in Cebu. The late Anthony Bourdain proclaimed Zubuchon's lechon "the best pig ever."
