This homegrown café in Imus is a love letter to all Caviteños

This homegrown café in Imus is a love letter to all Caviteños

Cavite is the Land of the Brave, the birthplace of several Filipino heroes and important figures in Philippine history, like former President Emilio Aguinaldo.

If there's a beverage that mirrors the qualities of Caviteños, it's undoubtedly coffee—bold and brave.

Born and raised in Imus, Cavite, LA Cantimbuhan, along with her cousins, put up Cafe 10/23—a love letter to their beloved hometown where Caviteños can go anytime to enjoy comfort food and coffee.

As you step foot in the cafe, you will be greeted by a tapestry of treasures that hold sentimental value for the Caviteño family, including an iconic jeepney crafted by Caviteño artists.

The old jeepney carries their family's legacy of crafting passenger jeeps from the '60s to the '80s. LA described it as a "living embodiment of familial ties and cherished history."

Aside from their family treasures, supporting and promoting local Caviteño artists and artisans is a core principle of Cafe 10/23. The cafe's gallery wall showcases the work of local Imus artist Christian Tamondong, and the majority of the furniture, including signature tables and chairs, was crafted by local artisans.

While Cafe 10/23 boasts an aesthetic that is nothing short of Instagram-worthy, its food and beverage selection is still this space's highlight.

If you've been to Deuces cafe in Makati and you're from Cavite, then you now don't have to travel far as Cafe 10/23 has partnered with Deuces for an exclusive use of their beans.

This collaboration has permitted Cafe 10/23 to offer the most premium coffee blends, featuring an array of signature caffeinated drinks, including White Chocolate Mocha Latte (P175-P180), Tiramisu Latte (P185), Sea Salt Spanish Latte (P195), and Matcha Latte (P175-P190), whose ingredients are authentic and directly sourced from Uji, Kyoto in Japan.

Non-coffee drinks are also available, such as blended drinks, Cookies and Cream (P210), Chocolate Fudge (P210), Strawberry (P215), and Ube Latte (P185).

For those seeking a savory indulgence, Cafe 10/23's menu offers a variety of dishes, with its bestsellers like the Truffle Cream Pasta (P305), Family Recipe Beef Tapa (P255), Creamy Bistek Tagalog (P295), Pork Belly Bowl (P265), and Classic Fried Chicken (P265).

Cafe 10/23 is located at Imus Blvd., Malagasang II-C, Imus Cavite. It's open every weekday, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and on weekends from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
