MetroDeal to cease operations after 13 years

MetroDeal announced it is ceasing operations after 13 years.

On its official website, the e-commerce platform said it will “cease the sale of deals on May 31.”

"Over the years, your trust and enthusiasm have transformed MetroDeal into a household name, where millions found not just deals, but experiences that enriched lives. Together with our esteemed suppliers, bumuo kami ng mga unforgettable adventures, sumptuous meals, and moments of bliss in beauty and relaxation," MetroDeal said in a statement.

They went on to call their journey a "remarkable" one, "with every deal sealing a partnership, and every voucher a story of connection and joy."

While deals on the website will only be active until May 15, 2024, purchased vouchers can still be redeemed until their respective expiration dates.

Meanwhile, users can still access their MetroDeal accounts as well as their customer support team until Dec. 31, 2024. Customer support on phone, Facebook Messenger, and email will only be until May 31, while email customer support will available from June 31 to Dec. 31.

MetroDeal was founded in 2011. It offers discounted deals up to 90% on various products and services such as dining, travel, beauty treatments, gadgets, and more.
