Vegetarian restaurant Corner Tree Cafe in Makati is closing in September
Corner Tree Cafe on Jupiter Street, Makati City, will be closing its doors in September.
The vegetarian restaurant has been serving vegan and vegetarian fare for the past 15 years. It is popular among vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike because it came to the scene and catered to various lifestyle and dietary needs during a time when there weren't a lot of plant-based restaurants yet in the city.
On Thursday night, however, Corner Tree Cafe announced on social media that it will be closing on Sept. 30 and said its farewell to its patrons.
"Farewell to all our beloved customers of Jupiter Street. We will be closing our doors on September 30, 2024," said Corner Tree Cafe.
It did not detail the reason behind its closing, but added that its cloud kitchen at 5782 Felipe Street in Poblacion, Makati, will still remain for takeaway and delivery.
"It has been our honor and joy to serve you for the last 15 years," the restaurant added. "If we do reopen, you'll find us. Until then... Peace to all."
Back in May 2023, Corner Tree Cafe also closed its branch at Power Plant Mall in Rockwell.
