This is where you can try TasteAtlas' 2024 best stew from Thailand
Curious about TasteAtlas’ 2024 best stew in the world, Thailand’s panang curry?
Greyhound Cafe is giving Filipino diners a chance to experience the top-ranked dish featured on its special new menu, “The Colour Palette of Thai Food,” a curated menu designed to celebrate the diverse influences within Thai cuisine.
The menu includes two appetizers, the crispy shrimp pancake (P495), which is stuffed with shrimp and pork filling and served with plum sauce, and the crispy salmon spicy salad (P625), which is served with a sweet, sour, and spicy green mango and apple salad.
Part of the main dishes are the extreme crab omelette (P650), a popular Thai street dish served with homemade sweet chili sauce, the crispy fish prik khing (P395), a dry stir-fried crispy fish with crunchy green beans tossed in salty-sweet red curry paste, and the run-juan curry with beef (P695), which has a balanced blend of sour, spicy, sweet, and salty beef curry seasoned with shrimp paste and aromatic herbs.
Other must-try main dishes are the Southern Thai-style pork belly stew (P595), a dish cooked in an herbaceous, sweet gravy made with garlic, coriander root, black peppercorn, and spices, and TasteAtlas’ high-ranking beef panang curry (P595), which is a traditional Thai stew featuring a rich, creamy, and flavorful curry made with coconut milk.
Chef Loreto Antolin Jr., who came from Baguio City, said that the beef in panang curry is boiled for three hours, hence its tenderness and rich flavor.
The stew dish has a rating of 4.6 stars on TasteAtlas.
Finally, for dessert, the menu offers bua loy (P250), which has smooth and soft Thai moji filled with sweet potato and ube, served with young coconut meat and sesame in sweet and mellow coconut milk.
