The Michelin Guide Manila is set to unveil its first restaurant selection in October!

The inaugural Michelin Guide Ceremony: Manila and Environs & Cebu 2026, is happening on Thursday, October 30 at the Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts.

The inaugural event of Michelin Guide's newest destination will feature official unveilings of its restaurant selection for Manila, nearby provinces, and Cebu; the Bib Gourmand Selection; and the prestigious Michelin Stars.

The Michelin Guide Special Awards will also take place, honoring outstanding individuals across the industry.

The ceremony will have a welcome reception and celebratory cocktail reception and will bring together esteemed chefs, restaurateurs, industry leaders, the Michelin Guide’s official partners, and media from around the world.

The exclusive, by-invitation-only event will be livestreamed via the Michelin Guide Asia YouTube channel.

Michelin Guide's carefully curated selection aims to showcase a rich tapestry of flavors, dining experiences, and culinary innovation across the country.

Every establishment selected by the Michelin Guide was independently assessed by anonymous inspectors based on the criteria: quality of ingredients, mastery of technique, harmony of flavors, personality of the chef through the cuisine, and consistency. This ensures that each awarded restaurant meets a world-class standard of excellence.

The Michelin Guide arrived in the Philippines in February for the highly anticipated 2026 selection of extraordinary restaurants. It initially released a list of six hotels, and has since recommended a total of 20 hotels. — Nika Roque/LA, GMA Integrated News
