Savoring goodness thru the years

In the Philippines, food is more than just sustenance; it’s a vibrant celebration of life and community. Every meal is an opportunity to gather, share stories, and strengthen bonds. From bustling fiestas to quiet family dinners filled with laughter and love, food serves as the thread that connects generations. It’s reflected in the way we prepare our dishes, following recipes passed down through the years, and in the communal spirit that fills our homes.

This rich culinary tradition is not just about flavors—it’s about passing down stories, recipes, and the essence of Filipino identity from one generation to the next. In every home, the kitchen serves as a space of love and creativity, where traditional dishes are prepared with care and shared with everyone.

It is within this vibrant cultural tapestry that Del Monte Philippines has become integral, not just for its products, but for its role in enriching these traditions.

A legacy of goodness

As Del Monte celebrates its centennial year this coming 2026, its story reflects a century of dedication to the Filipino experience: nourishing families, practicing sustainable farming, and contributing to the country’s development.

“A hundred years is more than just a number. It’s a story of generations of farmers, families, Filipino homes, all growing together with one purpose—to nourish goodness and to nurture generations,” Luis “Cito” Alejandro, President and Chief Operating Officer of Del Monte Philippines said. “We want to make sure that every Filipino deserves a Del Monte product.”

From a refreshing glass of pineapple juice to start the day, to sweet pineapple tidbits added to everyday dishes, and even to the flavorful tomato sauce in beloved lutong-bahay dishes and Pinoy spaghetti that make family celebrations unforgettable, the brand consistently delivers a comforting taste of home.

“Del Monte is always known for its quality. Dekalidad. Kaya talagang pinipili siya ng mga Filipino households. So, every time there is an occasion, kasama lagi ang Del Monte,” said Sharon Tanganco, Del Monte Philippines’ Chief Marketing Officer.

A key part of Del Monte’s impact is also seen in its Kitchenomics program. Launched in the 1980s, Del Monte Kitchenomics has inspired countless Filipino home cooks by providing accessible, delicious, and nutritious recipes. Through cooking demonstrations, recipe booklets, TV segments, and a mobile app, Kitchenomics has empowered families to create healthy meals at home, fostering a culture of home cooking and making nutritious meals more accessible to everyone.

“Nourishing goodness goes beyond simply our products... It is to nourish and touch the lives of the people,” Alejandro emphasized.

A shared commitment to uplift lives

Del Monte’s dedication also goes beyond the kitchen, reaching into communities through sustainability and support for local farmers. Del Monte has invested in programs designed to uplift and empower more than 24,000 individuals, supporting generations of Filipino farmers, including their families, who are committed to cultivating the finest produce.

“Our employees have been there for generations, and through generations, we have been able to uplift their lives and make life better for them. Not only for them, but also the next generations that came with these employees too,” Alejandro underscored.

Through the Del Monte Foundation, this nurturing spirit benefits over 200,000 people across more than a hundred barangays with livelihood, nutrition, and education programs. Aside from supporting over 1,700 educational scholars, the foundation also helps the community create a self-sustaining haven complete with homes, schools, a hospital, and recreational spaces to ensure that their workers and their families thrive together.

The next chapter

A century of shared goodness between Del Monte and Filipinos deserves a celebration. That is why for its centennial, the brand is teaming up with like-minded partners to bring exclusive treats and surprises for everyone to enjoy.

From Del Monte and award-winning Filipino chocolatier Auro Chocolate’s collaboration comes the Pineapple Crunch—a delectable treat combining freeze-dried golden pineapples and signature single-origin white chocolate. A special, pineapple-infused menu will also be available exclusively at the Auro Café in Bonifacio Global City.

Meanwhile, Jamba Juice will donate a portion of their sales to Del Monte's farming communities for every cup sold of their Aloha Pineapple smoothie and Piña Colada from November 3 to December 31, 2025.

To bring the Filipino spirit of kaayo (goodness), Del Monte also partners with Uniqlo to release the “Wear the Goodness” shirt and tote bag collection, plus a line of exclusive coffee drinks, available in select Uniqlo stores.

To further celebrate and share their milestone with their customers, Del Monte collaborates with Disney to bring magic to Filipino families. Through specially marked Disney-themed Del Monte Spaghetti Party Packs and Multipacks, one hundred lucky families will win an all-expense paid trip for four to Hong Kong Disneyland.

As it looks to the future, Del Monte remains committed to evolving and delivering high-quality products that serve both Filipino families and global consumers.

"We want to make sure that we spread the goodness even further, spread the goodness through our products,” Tanganco shared.

With the same heart, renewed purpose, and thrust towards innovation, Del Monte aims to continue to nourish not just homes but also hope in the hearts of Filipinos—just as it did in planting the sweet, golden pineapples we know and love today.

With its centennial year fast approaching, Del Monte likewise welcomes a fresh beginning for the next generation. Here’s to the next one hundred years of goodness in Filipino homes, making lives healthier, happier, and just a little sweeter every day.
