Gordon Ramsay's 'Idiot Sandwich' Taguig pop-up: Everything you need to know
Gordon Ramsay’s “Idiot Sandwich” is coming to Manila sooner than you think!
The “Idiot Sandwich” pop-up will open at the al fresco area of Uptown Mall in Taguig on May 15 and will run until August 16, marking the first pop-up of its kind anywhere in the world.
The limited-time menu will feature bold creations such as the Turkey Breakfast Club, Classic Ham & Cheese Toastie, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream Whoopie Pie, among others.
The beverage selection includes both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, from refreshing lemonades to cocktails and chilled wine as thirst quenchers for an al fresco dining experience.
The “Idiot Sandwich” pop-up will be open from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., Mondays to Thursdays, and from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The concept is inspired by Gordon’s viral “Idiot Sandwich” pop culture moment, which later led to a YouTube series and the cookbook “Idiot Sandwich: 100+ Recipes to Elevate Your Sandwich Game.”
The “Idiot Sandwich” originated from a 2015 sketch on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” which featured the celebrity chef.
In January 2025, Gordon was in the Philippines to celebrate the opening of his first restaurant in the country, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Pasay City.
Gordon is the chef behind several Michelin-starred restaurants, including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in the UK and Le Pressoir d'Argent in Bordeaux. He's opened restaurants worldwide, including Singapore, the UAE, and Japan. —JCB, GMA News
