Museum hopping? Stop by this new cafe inside the National Museum of Fine Arts

Here’s another reason to visit the National Museum more often.

Papakape, a Filipino homegrown cafe, has officially opened its doors inside the National Museum of Fine Arts in Ermita, Manila.

Located at the Benigno Aquino Jr. Foyer on the museum’s fourth floor, Papakape offers ginger-flavored tea and coffee, as well as signature drinks for museumgoers to enjoy, including the Ice Buko Americano, Mango Cream Coffee, Polvoron Dinosaur, Cerveza Negra Float, and Frozen Bayabas, all priced at P220.

The cafe also serves standard drinks, such as the Americano (P160), Coconut Latte (P200), Coco-Cappuccino (P200), and Cocomocha (P250), among others.

On Instagram, Papakape owner Manu Reyes marked the milestone by reflecting on the cafe’s humble beginnings during the pandemic.

“Opening new spaces brings back memories of how we started in the pandemic as a little glass house in Palanan, Makati, with the simple goal of making coffee for people at a time when we needed each other for hope,” he wrote.

“These memories will always make us grateful for every person who found us in Ampere St., the first team that made coffee service heartfelt, and the inspiration that keeps us going until today,” he added.

Aside from the National Museum, Papakape has branches in Intramuros and Makati City.
