Mavy, Cassy Legaspi share fitness routines, healthy eating habits

Mavy and Cassy Legaspi shared how they maintain their fit and healthy lifestyles, emphasizing the importance of finding a routine that works for them and keeping their diet balanced.

In Athena Imperial’s report in “24 Oras Weekend." on Saturday, Cassy said finding the right workout and diet was a matter of trial and error.

“Mine was really trial and error. I did everything—all workouts, all diets—until I finally found the right one,” she said.

“I think what really suits me is pilates and sports, and pickleball. I’m a tennis girlie,” she added.

Meanwhile, Mavy said his fitness routine includes lifting weights and running.

When it comes to their food intake, the twins said they do not count calories. Instead, they try to be more mindful of what they eat while maintaining a balanced diet.

Cassy said she prefers making sustainable lifestyle changes rather than following restrictive diets.

“[It’s a] very much balanced diet. Less stress. It’s really more of a lifestyle change,” she said.

For Mavy, counting calories can be difficult to sustain in the long run, which is why he prefers to balance working out with enjoying the food he eats.

“It’s hard to count calories because it feels like it’s very short-term. So, as much as I go to the gym, I also want to enjoy the food that I eat. So, just balance,” he said.

The Legaspi twins also look to their parents, Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villarroel, as their fitness inspirations, noting that the couple remain active in sports.

“We’re pushed to work out because it’s kind of embarrassing that at their age, they’re still working out, and then us, what?” he said with a laugh.
