Kris Aquino hopes to reach 60 amid health battle
Kris Aquino hopes to reach the age of 60 as she reflected on life and death amid her health battle.
On "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the Queen of All Media admitted she has come to terms with her own mortality.
"I've come to accept that there is a beginning and an end. And I can face the reality that when I sleep, I may not wake up," she said in a mix of English and Filipino.
"That's a reality that not many people have to face on a nightly basis. But for me, I already accepted that," she added.
Kris turned 55 years old this year.
She also said that once her time comes, she would prefer to be in a hospital rather than at home. She said she would not want her son, Bimby, to be with her as he has been through this difficult situation with her for five and a half years.
"And that's, for someone as young as him, that's too much," she said.
Kris also revealed what she has been praying for."I hope to make it to 60," she said.
Kris said she also wants to do a reunion project with Tito Boy.
"I feel that maybe I'm praying too, or maybe it's about time. That in 2027, the two of us, whether it's just a special, whether we will have our own podcast, we will be together again."
Previously, Kris gave an update on her health, revealing that two of her major organs need more medical attention as she continues to battle autoimmune diseases.
Despite her health challenges, she remained hopeful and thanked everyone who continues to pray for her and her family.
Kris and Tito Boy reunited for a two-part television special as part of the latter's weeklong birthday celebration on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda."
In the same interview, Bimby said he wants Kris to walk him down the aisle when he gets married. Kris also revealed that First Lady Liza Marcos helped handle her annulment to James Yap in 2012. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA News
