About 4.8k people form 'human blood drop' in Marikina
About 4,817 people gathered in Marikina City on Friday to form a giant drop of human blood visible from afar.
Marikeños headed to Marikina Sports Center as early as 5 a.m. to participate in the record-breaking event which was aimed at persuading people to be blood donors for Marikina Blood Bank.
The event was also held as part of the city's 378th founding anniversary celebration.

The event broke Quezon City's previous record of about 4,200 participants, Super dzBB Luisito Santos said in a tweet.
Students, government officials, and residents participated in the activity.
After the formation of the "World's Biggest Human Blood Drop," a mass blood-letting activity was also conducted at the Marikina Sports Center building.
