How to rearrange your room for lucky Feng Shui in 2018

Everyone's hoping for a little more luck this coming 2018, and one way to usher that in is to reorganize your home with a dash of Feng Shui.

In an interview in Unang Balita on Friday, Feng Shui expert Johnson Chua gave tips on how to let luck flow into rooms, starting with the color scheme.

1. Yellow and green

Chua said that 2018's lucky colors include yellow and green, and that they should be incorporated as much as possible: in the wall paint, the decors, and even the bedsheets.

"Number one syempre gusto natin yung color. Most likely gusto natin ang mga earth colors. Tulad ng ganito, like yung merong mga yellow, green. medyo chill, malamig sa mata, kasi gusto natin maka-relax," he said.

"Sa 2018, ang pinakaswerte natin green at yellow, kaya dapat as much as possible ang bedsheet natin is also green at yellow," he added.

If you have no budget or time to repaint your room, you have the option of putting up paintings or picture frames.

Keep in mind that you should avoid designs that has water in it, Chua said.

2. Bed against the wall

If possible, the bed should be placed against a wall, Chua said.

Headboards designed with holes in them might be bad luck, so he urged covering that up.

If that's not possible, Chua suggests placing crystal balls on either side of the bed.

The crystal balls should have the same color and design to inspire luck for couples and promote a good relationship.

But it's not just the crystal balls that should be paired -- Chua insists on designing in twos.

"Dapat terno lagi kasi gusto natin for the couple to have a good relationship. Parang pag titgnan mo meron tayong mga lamp, meron tayong side table, kailangan dapat pair," he said.

3. Lucky objects

It also wouldn't hurt to have lucky objects sitting in your room.

Chua suggests amethyst, which promotes peace, harmony, and good health, as well as seasonal activators for protection.

Holy gourd promotes good health, while pagoda would be great for decision-making, focus, and concentration.
