Six-year-old kid suffers from a massive mole on her head
In Arakan, North Cotabato, a six-year-old girl named Ella has been struggling with a huge physical mark on her head that throbs and sometimes even bleeds.
She and her family believe it to be a gigantic birthmark and one that doesn’t allow Ella to leave their house without a cloak cover, lest it causes her an infection.

Mariel, Ella's mother, explained to "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" that even taking a bath causes her daughter pain. According to Ella, the mark would hurt when it gets wet, and sometimes it would even bleed when she sleeps on her back.
"Minsan, nagigising kami tapos ‘yung unan niya puno ng dugo. Nakakatakot din para sa aming mga magulang," Mariel said.
Looking for an explanation behind her child’s condition, Mariel blames the bumpy trips she took to school where she used to work as a teacher when she was still pregnant with Ella.
Aside from the giant birthmark on her head, Ella's body is also covered with small moles.
A mole or a tumor?
Ella has seen a host of doctors. When she was born, she was diagnosed to have hematoma, or the abnormal collection of clotted blood.
Another doctor had diagnosed her with Hemangioma, or a tumor in the blood vessels. Another doctor had said Ella might have Vascular Anomalies, in addition to Hemangioma.
Last year, a dermatologist diagnosed Ella to have a Giant Nevus, a skin tumor from excessive growth of melanocytes, the cell responsible for our skin color.

Ella needs to go under three operations: first to remove the mole, second for skin grafting, and finally, a hair transplant. In all, it would cost P600,000.
The six-year-old girl may be in distress because of all the physical pain and the emotional pain she gets from all the bullying in school, but that doesn't stop her from studying hard to achieve her dream to become a doctor. In fact, despite the teasing she constantly receives, Ella remains a consistent honor student in her class.
