FYI: Foamy urine can be a sign of different things
Foamy urine, said oncologist Dr. Isaac David Ampil II, can be a sign of different things.
"Kunyari punong-puno ang pantog mo, pag-ihi mo malakas ang force. Eh 'yung speed na 'yun, maaaring bumula 'yung tubig sa toilet bowl," he said in a Pinoy MD episode on Saturday.
He also said that what you drink or eat can cause the foam. If you're dehydrated, it can cause your pee to be concentrated that leads to the increase in ammonia and protein which later on becomes the foam in the pee, Ampil said.
Foamy urine, however, can also be a sign of a kidney disease, the doctor said.
To be sure, Ampil advised that the patient must take a urinalysis test and see a nephrologist. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
