Is it still possible for a woman without a uterus to fall pregnant?

Once a woman's uterus is removed, there is no going back.

In an episode of Pinoy MD, OB-gynecologist Dr. Raul Quillamor clarified that once a woman loses her uterus, she also loses any capacity to carry a child.

"Isa lang ang matris ng babae, kaya 'pag tinaggal na ang matris ng babae, ay talagang wala nang pagasa na mabuntis," he said.

Quillamor referred to this as a "permanent disability," simply because a woman whose uterus is removed loses her reproductive capacity.

While there is such a thing as a uterine transplant, such a procedure is rarely done, he added.
