Kris Bernal reveals the Marie Kondo method helped her get over a 'makeup hoarding' phase
Some people say you can spend as much money on makeup as it costs to buy a house in a lifetime.
In an inspiring IG post, Kapuso actress Kris Bernal revealed she had her own "makeup hoarding" phase wherein she would spend as much as $800 to $1,200 (around P40,000 to P61,000) on makeup.
Luckily, she got over it! Thanks to the Marie Kondo method.
Marie Kondo is a tidying expert who popularized a decluttering method wherein you only keep things that "spark joy."
In her post, Kris said she first had to realize that she didn't need to haul so much makeup in the first place.
"I am no makeup enthusiast yet I enjoy exploring on different makeup brands and products. I used to be a makeup hoarder that I could spend as much as $800-$1,200. Tsk! Then, they just get expired. Either I really don’t need them or they’re just too many that I forget about them. I really don’t do my own makeup! So, goodbye money!"
The actress, who is now successfully running her own cosmetic line, thanked Kondo for the welcomed change in her life.
"May pagbabago SHE-zums, mom would be super proud of me when she finds out that I didn’t overspend this time!!" she said. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
