How the rooster, 2020's luckiest Chinese zodiac sign, can maximize its good energy this year

It's the Year of the Metal Rat, but Roosters, it's your time to shine.

Feng shui adviser Johnson Chua says that the rooster is ahead of the zodiac race this year, so those born in the Year of the Rooster have the most energy.

"Kapag nandoon ka sa number one, ikaw 'yung pinaka mataas na energy. So pwede ka maging influencer, maging motivator sa ibang tao, pwedeng ikaw rin ang magse-save sa ibang tao," he tells GMA News Online.

In other words, many will be demanding your service this year, and as such, it's a good time to bargain your value.

So how can you maximize your luck this year? Just "go for it!" Chua says.

Since the rooster's energy is strong, there is a high chance you'll achieve what it is you've been aiming for, as Chua explains, 2020 is the "completion year" for roosters.

"If you had started something already, this year mako-complete siya. If there’s a problem last year, this year maso-solve na siya," he says.

And if you've been wanting to do something but couldn't figure out the timing, now's the time.

"Kung mataas ang energy mo, gawin mo lahat ng mga gusto mong gawin... This is a good year to push it," Chua says.

Another tip for those born in the year of the rooster is trust your gut instincts.

Chua says this is because you are more in tune with the universe this year.

So even if the facts disagree with your gut feel, Chua says to go with your intuition.

"Luck is about energy. And energy is minsan yung kutob, intuition.The universe provides the answer, kailangan mo lang kumokek," he says.

"Kung mas mataas 'yung energy mo mas mabilis kang maka-connect sa universe. Mas mabilis ka magkaroon ng answers," he adds.

So how come the rat isn't perceived to be the luckiest on the Year of the Metal Rat?

Chua likened it to being placed on the spotlight. Despite the opportunities made available because of its position, the pressure of that expectation is there.

"Bilang this year is also your year, medyo expect lang po natin it can be very challenging," Chua says. "This year kasi is also your year, medyo mabilis din po tayong masira o mapahiya or maging prone po in terms of misunderstanding."

For the other signs, don't be discouraged — even if your zodiac animal lagged in the race, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be unlucky this year.

"Sa 'kin kasi, ang practice ko, wala namang bad luck na tao," Chua says.

However, he advised to watch out for your health and finances among other things, and to be cautious of conflicts and backfighters. — LA, GMA News
