Bruno Major skips Wanderland 2020, postpones Asia tour amid coronavirus outbreak
British singer Bruno Major will no longer be performing in the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival in March due concerns over the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Aside from the music festival in the Philippines, Major will be postponing his shows in Asia this month.
"Both I and my team feel that due to escalating health and travel concerns related to the Coronavirus, putting on shows in certain countries at this point would be irresponsible," the singer wrote on Instagram.
Bruno assured his fans that he did not make the decision lightly. He shared that in the past two and a half years since he's been touring, he hasn't missed a single show even if he lost his voice or got injured.
"The current situation however is out of my control. I know it sucks but I promise I will make it up to you all in August. In the mean time keep safe and strong," he said.
After Major's announcement, Wanderland said on Facebook that they will now be presenting for the very first time iconic homegrown singer Barbie Almalbis.
Before Major, musicians Novo Amour and Sabrina Claudio have also decided to skip this year's Wanderland due to the outbreak and schedule conflicts.
The music festival's current lineup includes Ben&Ben, IV of Spades, Joji, the Paper Kites among others.
