'MERON PA RIN'

Emman Nimedez returns to hospital a few days after discharge

Emman Nimedez, who has diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in May, was allowed to go home from the hospital last week, after undergoing cancer treatment.

His homecoming, however, was cut short after hearing some not-so-good news from his doctors.

In a vlog uploaded Tuesday, June 30, the YouTuber said his bone marrow biopsy showed that there were still leukemic blast cells present in his system.

“Sinabi sa 'kin ng doktor na hindi nga siya nag-zero percent. Meron pa rin," Emman said, referring to the percentage of blasts in his bone marrow samples.

This update came only four days since he told his supporters that he was feeling better after undergoing chemotherapy, and was allowed to go home and rest.

In his new video, Emman is seen leaving home to resume treatment at another hospital in Quezon City.

"So, anong gagawin? Sinabi sa 'kin nung doktor kanina, ang next move daw is tatapangin 'yung gamot and, hopefully, this time, gumana siya kasi nga mas intense na 'yung gagawin," he said.

The vlogger says he's set to undergo stem-cell therapy, as well.

"Kung natatandaan niyo, kaya pala sinasabi ko na wala akong nararamdamang side effects, wala akong nararamdamang something, eh 'yun pala ay dahil hindi pala siya masyadong kumapit sakin 'yung gamot," Emman said.

"This time, hopefully, gumana na siya and after non ay stem-cell transplant na and hopefully, mag-zero percent siya," he added.

Emman also told his followers that he might not be giving any updates for a while given that gadgets were not allowed inside the facility.

Once again, the YouTuber asked his supporters to continue praying for him.

He also called out to anyone who would be willing to donate blood or send financial assistance to help pay for his treatment.

"Hindi ako magsasawang ulit ulitin sa inyo na patuloy niyo lang akong ipagdasal at, 'yun nga, sa ngayon, kailangan ko talaga ng tulong…nagbabakasakali lang din kasi nga mahirap siya na gamutan at hindi talaga siya biro 'yung gastusan," Emman said.

Donations can be made through Emman's BPI Account (2389087184), Security Bank Account (0000028627163) or PayPal (www.paypal.me/ENimedez).

Shortly after Emman revealed he had leukemia, fans, followers, fellow vloggers as well as celebrities took to social media to show support. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
