Iza Calzado celebrated her 38th birthday months after she survived her battle against COVID-19 and for her, it is the "most meaningful" yet.

On Instagram, Iza posted a series of photos of herself clad in a white bikini as she dipped in the water at The Farm at San Benito.

"As I bathe in God’s love and light, I am filled with gratitude to be able to continue this beautiful journey called life — with a deeper understanding that every waking moment and every breath is a blessing," she wrote.

In another post, she shared a photo of herself kissing her husband Ben Wintle.

"I manifested meeting the man who would be my life partner at @thefarmatsanbenito by the Mango Tree. It was the first week of August 2011, just before my birthday. 2 months later, I met you," Iza narrated in her post.

"9 years later, this is still our favorite place and you’re still my favorite human," she continued,

Iza said she values "the hard work and time we put into building a strong foundation to make our relationship withstand the challenges that life may bring."

"Rooted and grounded, @benmwintle, you are my beautiful and strong tree," she ended her note.

Iza is among the celebrities who tested positive with COVID-19 early on the pandemic.

On March 28, Iza tested positive for COVID-19. Two days later, her manager announced that the actress tested negative for the virus.

After her recovery, she donated some of her blood plasma for the treatment of other COVID-19 patients in critical condition. —Jannielyn Bigtas/MGP, GMA News
